Communication Update
We are thrilled to share with you an exciting update about our communication system!

Starting in 2024, you will no longer be able to call into our office.
But don’t worry! You will still have plenty of ways to process your requests and get in touch with our administration team.

You can continue to email us, and have the ability to contact us via Facebook, Instagram, and our web chat, where you’re able to ask the same questions you would have via phone previously.

Most importantly, you will have the ability to process all requests via our The iClassPro App.
The iClass Pro app allows parents to book in make-up classes, mark their child absent, request to transfer their class, cancel their enrolment, book into holiday programs, and more. If you haven’t already, you can download from your app store and get started right away!

• Make sure you search for exactly that – ‘the iClassPro app’.
• Then, and this is very important, ensure you put in the correct organisation name, which is ‘twistersgym’ – all lowercase and no spaces. You’ll know you’re in the right place because the landing page is purple (if the landing page is red, you’re trying to get into the Canadian Twisters).
• Lastly, you just need to pop in your Parent Portal details and you’re set!

Our team working at the front desk will be delighted to help you download, log in, and navigate the app, so please don’t hesitate to reach out for some support during this adjustment.

End-of-Year Testing
Our end of year testing is fast approaching – please make a note of these dates, Monday 20th November to Sunday 3rd December.

Testing will occur during your child’s regular scheduled classes, and there is no need for the kids to be nervous! During this time our classes will look a little different – you’ll see extra coaches out on the floor, some coaches with iPads during sessions (to mark off achieved skills), and the kids will be taking turns going through the skills.
During this time we do not allow make ups or trials. Why? Because we want to minimise disruptions to regular classes and allow everyone to get through their testing so that both they, and you, can track their progress.

If you haven’t already, in the coming weeks you will receive a poster and stickers from your child’s coach. Please keep these in a safe place! Once testing is complete, your child’s skill achievements will be uploaded to the Parent Portal. We will send out an email full of information closer to the time. Happy testing!

Northcote Car Park Reminder
A quick reminder to please only park in our marked Twisters car spaces and not in any other businesses along the driveway. Our undercroft is a drop off/pick up zone only, for after school and weekend hours, to keep traffic moving. If you intend to stay for longer than 5-minutes we kindly ask that you find a spot for your car outside of the undercroft, or park on Beavers Road, or surrounding streets and walk into the gym.
During our daytime Tiny Tornadoes classes, parents are welcome to park in the undercroft car spots.
We really appreciate your help with this!

Child Pick-Up Process
Your children are safe at Twisters!
If you are late to pick up your child, please do not panic. Our coaches will ensure every child in their class has been picked up by a grown up, if they have not been collected at the end of class, the coach will advise our front desk who will sit with your child until you arrive.

If there’s no one on the front desk, then our Floor Leader will keep an eye on your child, and if that’s not possible, don’t worry, your child will sit inside the gym with their coach while they wait for you.

If it has been longer than 10 minutes since your child’s class finished and you haven’t arrived, our coaches or a member of our admin staff will contact you to see where you are. You don’t need to worry about contacting our office, we will be sure to get in touch!

Gymnast of the Month
Congratulations to our October Gymnasts of the Month!

Northcote GoM | Elvie

Here is why Coach Amelia nominated Elvie…
Over the past two years I have been working with Elvie I have seen an amazingly hard worker and talented gymnast grow. Elvie is grounded and has been able to build strong relationships with the other gymnasts; she is always willing to help others carry equipment or remember activities. Elvie knows how to get the most out of our 1.5 hour class, always listening and putting her absolute all into everything she does. I can see that even when Elvie doesn’t find things easy she doesn’t give up, instead she works 10 times harder and slowly gets better each week. Elvie, I hope you can see how far you’ve come, I can’t wait to see how you progress in future!

Showgrounds GoM | Lucy

Here is why Coach Amelie nominated Lucy…
I nominated Lucy for Gymnast of the Month because she is an outgoing, enthusiastic gymnast who always brings a big smile to the gym. When Lucy is given a challenge she always puts in 100% effort, trying to accomplish the skill to the best of her abilities. Lucy is a great listener during class and remembers each and every demonstration, which I can say is such a big help to us coaches. Lucy is also a kind, friendly, and fun person to be around, she gets along well with all her fellow classmates, and is always happy to lend a helping hand. It’s been a pleasure watching Lucy grow as a gymnast and become the wonderful person she is!

Torquay GoM | Luna

Here is why Coach Courtney nominated Luna…
I have nominated Luna for the Gymnast of the Month award because of her attitude and excitement towards gymnastics.  She is always excited to learn new skills and show me what she has been practicing in her own time. Her confidence and enthusiasm mean she is willing to put her all into trying a challenge.  She has formed very positive relationships with all of the other students in our class and really knows how to bring a smile to all the faces in the gym!
