Welcome Showna!
We are so excited to have Showna on board as our new Head Coach at Torquay. Showna comes to us from Jamaica, which we think is pretty awesome! She has had years of experience working in gyms like Twisters across the world. Sarah has been living at Torquay since the start of January to cover classes throughout the week, we are all very relieved to have Showna around to help us and to get Sarah back home to her boys! We know Showna is a wonderful addition to our Torquay team, please make her feel welcome, say hello, or stop to have a chat when you see her around the gym!

Child Pick-Up Process
Your children are safe at Twisters!
If you are late to pick up your child, please do not panic. Our coaches will ensure every child in their class has been picked up by a grown up, if they have not been collected at the end of class, the coach will advise our front desk who will sit with your child until you arrive.
If there’s no one on the front desk, then our Floor Leader will keep an eye on your child, and if that’s not possible, don’t worry, your child will sit inside the gym with their coach while they wait for you.
If it has been longer than 10 minutes since your child’s class finished and you haven’t arrived, our coaches or a member of our admin staff will contact you to see where you are. You don’t need to worry about contacting our office, we will be sure to get in touch!

Northcote | Parking Reminder
We have been issued with a penalty notice and fine from the council, along with other businesses within our driveway.
You will notice that we have staff in hi-vis vests monitoring our car park closely for at least the next few weeks. To help our staff manage this, we ask our parents to respect the private parking within the one-way driveway and to ensure you are only parking within our 18 marked, Twisters car spaces to help with this issue (our car parking spots will be repainted in the coming weeks).
We ask that if you see anyone parking in our spaces that are not coming into Twisters, to take note of the car and let one of our staff members know (preferably the car park monitor or front desk staff) so that we can speak to them/place a note on their car to inform them for the future.
Our class times are purposely staffed to allow for better traffic flor in the car park. We ask that you do not hang around any longer than your child’s class time and that you don’t arrive too early for classes to help!
The car park situation is not ideal but we are doing our best.

One-Way Driveway
Further to above, we want to remind you that Goldsmith Grove, the laneway where Twisters Northcote is located on, is one-way traffic only. Entering from Beavers Road and exiting onto Arthurton Road. Please ensure that you’re adhering to this rule at all times to help keep everyone safe.

Our Office Hours
A friendly reminder that we only have one person in the office (our amazing Office Manager, Fin). She is answering your phone calls and responding to your emails for all 3 locations, so she is a very busy lady! Fin is in the office Monday thru Friday from 8am until 4pm.
You can contact us via phone, email or via our live chat on the website. You can also speak to us in person at the front desk. If you call and you don’t get an answer, Fin may be busy on the phone to another customer. If you would like a call back please leave a voicemail message with your name and number and she will get back to you as soon as possible (if you don’t leave a message, we will be unable to return your call).
We are always here and happy to help, we appreciate your patience with our small admin team!

2023 Member Hoodies
We are so pleased to let you know that we are offering the option to buy a Twisters hoodie for the upcoming chilly season! Last year, we received so much positive feedback around our coaches hoodies, that we wanted to design and offer one specifically for our wonderful members, and it’s finally time!

Brilliant, what do I need to know and how do I place an order?
👉 Orders are open now, and will remain open until April 16th.
👉 Hoodies will cost $50 each.
👉 To place an order, head to the ordering portal!
👉 Hoodies will be printed to order. Once the ordering portal closes on April 16th, it will take approximately 3 weeks for the Cheetah team to print and pack orders. They will then arrive at each Twisters location and are team will be quick to get them distributed to you!

iClassPro App
We have a wonderful, easy to use app for parents! The iClass Pro app allows parents to book in make-up classes, mark their child absent, request to transfer their class and book into holiday programs. If you haven’t already, you can download the iClassPro App from your app store and get started right away!
📲 Make sure you search for exactly that – ‘the iClassPro app’.
📲 Then, and this is very important, ensure you put in the correct organisation name, which is ‘twistersgym’ – all lower case and no spaces. You’ll know you’re in the right place because the landing page is purple (if the landing page is red, you’re trying to get into the Canadian Twisters).
📲 Lastly, you just need to pop in your Parent Portal details and you’re set!

Make Up Tokens
Just a quick reminder that make up tokens are a benefit of your enrolment with us here at Twisters. You receive a make up token (with a 90-day expiry) whenever you’ve had to miss your child’s class, due to illness, if you’re going to be away on holidays, or any other reason. They do not hold any monetary value. Therefore, if you choose to drop your enrolment, you will not be able to use your make up tokens.

Make Up Tokens and Holiday Programs/Workshops
Another reminder that we are no longer offering the option to use make up tokens towards holiday programs/workshop bookings. When we initially chose to offer this option, it was to help parents utilise their accumulated tokens from during the lockdown period.
Now that we’re well and truly back to life as normal, the decision was made to remove this offering after the January holidays, and instead, encourage parents to use their make up tokens towards additional gymnastics classes, so that your gymnast or ninja doesn’t have to miss out on their learning!
If you’re having a hard time finding a make up class for your child, please get in touch with our office and we will be happy to help you find a solution to use them up! Hot tip, school holidays is a great time to get in a few extra classes as we often have people away 🙂

Coaches Extended Learning
Did you know that at Twisters we run workshops every term, across all three of our locations to our help our Coaches expand their knowledge? Our coaches get together with the aim of helping them learn new techniques, build confidence, learn new skills, talk about areas of struggle and of course to help strengthen the bond and build strong connections between staff!
All of this helps them not only become better educators, but provides the best experience for your kids at Twisters!
