Secure your spot for 2026!
An important reminder that current members received an email on 16th November providing all information to prepare your child’s enrolment for next year. If your child has an active enrolment with us, they will have been allocated a spot in the most suitable class for their continued progressions in 2026. You can log into your Parent Portal account to see your allocation. New students can prepare their 2026 enrolment from 1st December.
Important child safety update
Child safety is extremely important to us. That’s why we have implemented a staff policy of no personal phones or devices on the gym floor (with the exception of an emergency). This is in line with the new regulations coming into place for childcare centres. We want you to feel comfortable in having your child attend Twisters, and we want all children – including our underage coaches – to be safe in our hands. The devices that you see the coaches using on the gym floor are all Twisters owned devices, or devices that have been hired for the purposes of progress checks.
🌟 Core Value Coach Awards 🌟
Congratulations to the following coaches for being the October winners of the Core Value Coach Awards!
NORTHCOTE – Coach Mavis was awarded for the coach core value award “Dedication To Go Beyond”. Mavis cares deeply about all of her gymnasts and caters to each of their individual needs. She also makes new coaches/trial coaches feel very welcome!
SHOWGROUNDS – Coach Natasha was awarded coach core value “Dedication To Go Beyond”. Natasha consistently goes above and beyond for both her gymnasts and her team. She continually explores new ways to help her athletes reach their full potential through goal setting and motivation. Highly respected by her peers, Natasha leads by example and demonstrates the core values of Twisters.
TORQUAY – Coach Rose was awarded for the coach core value “Dedication To Go Beyond”. Coach Rose exemplifies what it means to go beyond every single day. When she’s floor leading, her positive impact can be felt across the entire gym. She is incredibly observant – always ready to step in when a coach needs support or when a child needs a little extra help. Coach Rose’s creativity shines through in the innovative drills she designs, helping athletes think about their skills in new ways. Her constant dedication to improving both the gymnasts and the gym as a whole truly sets her apart!

That’s a wrap 🎉
Congratulations to all of our gymnasts and ninjas for completing our end-of-year Progress Checks over the previous fortnight! You can log into your Parent Portal from 01/12 to view which skills your child has achieved! If your child has done our progress checks before, then you may notice that things look a bit different this time around. With our move over to Tribe, we have made some updates to the way our progress checks are completed. The main difference is that now you will see each skill, plus the key coaching points for that skill. With this, you will be able to know exactly what your gymnast/ninja will be continuing to work on moving into next term.

Gymnast of the Month
Congratulations to our Gymnasts of the Month!

Northcote GoM | Nina
Here is why Maddie Ivy nominated Nina…
Nina has worked so hard on all of her gymnastics this year, and has been a joy to have in the gym. She always comes to class with a positive attitude and is always there to support the rest of the class, cheering them on when they get a new skill. I am so impressed with her determination, displaying our core value of ‘Dedication to Go Beyond’. From the moment she comes into class she is ready to try new things, and she has made so much improvement with her skills throughout the year, in particular with her front handsprings and front saults. Nina is a pleasure to coach, and I’m very proud of all her progress and hard work this year!
