Progress checks are coming up!
Our mid-year progress checks will be held from Monday 27 April to Sunday 10 May. You do not need to do anything to prepare your child for progress checks – they’ve already done all of the hard work! Just bring them along to their regular class and reassure them that it is nothing to worry about. It is simply an opportunity to check in on their progress and to celebrate the milestones they have achieved!
Check in with a Coach!
Our Coaches are happy to chat to grown ups before or after class. Coaches will attempt to catch up with all grown-ups throughout the year, but they are also happy for you to approach them!
Our Member Experience team are around and can help you get the coach’s attention if they’re inside the gym.
Tiny Tornadoes Theme Hints
Each fortnight our Tiny Tornadoes have a fun new theme! Themes allow our younger gymnasts to do the repetition required for mastering skills without realising it. The themes also build imagination and include hidden gems – such as early literacy skills – all while moving and having fun.
Check out our socials pages to find out what theme we are exploring next!

If you have noticed that you’re not receiving our emails, or they are landing in your promotions folder, we ask that you add our domain (admin@twistersgym.com.au) to your safe senders list.
Northcote parking reminder
Another month, another parking reminder! Our undercroft is a drop off/pick up zone only, if you intend to stay for longer than 5-minutes we kindly ask that you find a spot for your car in one of our parallel parks, or park on Beavers Road/surrounding streets. Daylight savings and warmer weather provides a great opportunity to park on surrounding streets and enjoy an afternoon walk down to Twisters! During our daytime Tiny Tornadoes classes, parents are welcome to park in the undercroft car spots. We really appreciate your cooperation.
Easter break
All three locations will be taking a short break over Easter and will be closed on Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April.
Showgrounds and Torquay will be open for normal classes from Tuesday 7 April.
Northcote will be open for normal classes from Monday 13 April.
Enjoy the break!
Changing weather means extra layers…and extra lost property!
With autumn setting in and the weather becoming unpredictable, your child might be wearing an extra layer that they discard during class. Try to remind them to pick up any extra layers before you leave so they don’t get left behind. And if it was raining when you arrived, make sure you remember to take your umbrella home too!
Important Dates For important dates to pop into your calendar or to plan accordingly, you can find those on our website, here.

Gymnast of the Month
Congratulations to our Gymnasts of the Month!

Northcote GoM | Zoe
Here is why Coach Maddie nominated Zoe…
I have nominated Zoe as Gymnast of the Month because she truly embodies our Twisters core value of Fun and Energy is Contagious! She always comes into gymnastics with a smile on her face and is eager to try new things every time she comes into the gym. Every time I look around at Zoe, she is not only doing everything with a positive attitude, but she is supporting her fellow gymnasts by encouraging them to have a go. She constantly asks questions and is eager to improve, while always putting a smile not only on our faces but the other gymnasts’ faces! Zoe is truly deserving of gymnast of the month!

Showgrounds GoM | Theo
Here is why Coach Jorja nominated Theo…
Theo is an absolute pleasure to coach! He pushes himself more and more each class. He always wants to do his best and puts in effort to challenge himself. Each time he comes through the door with a big smile, confidence and enthusiasm which is wonderful to see. He displays our core value ‘making our mates better’ by always helping out the people around him and asking anyone if they need a helping hand. Keep up the great work Theo! I can’t wait to see all the great progress you make!

Torquay GoM | Mimi
Here is why Coach Louise nominated Mimi…
I have nominated Mimi as Gymnast of The Month because she brings such a positive energy into the gym every time she comes in! Mimi absolutely loves gymnastics, and you can really see that every time she’s in class. Mimi is super keen to try new things and will take on feedback from any of the coaches and apply that to her skills. Mimi shows our core values “Be curious and brave” by trying new things each week and also shows our other value “fun and energy is contagious” by coming into the gym with a huge smile on her face, ready to learn and by showing kindness to all her classmates. Mimi is an absolute pleasure to coach – I can’t wait to continue watching her progress in her gymnastics. Go Mimi!!!!
