Progress checks fortnight!
Our mid-year progress checks will be held from Monday 27 April to Sunday 10 May. You do not need to do anything to prepare your child for progress checks – they’ve already done all of the hard work! Just bring them along to their regular class and reassure them that it is nothing to worry about. It is simply an opportunity to check in on their progress and to celebrate the milestones they have achieved!
Our Inclusion Officer, Andrea!
Much loved Northcote Tinies coach, Andrea, is also our amazing Inclusion Officer at Twisters! Andrea is the person to contact if your child has any additional needs or could use some extra support in class. We offer a range of supports and like to work with families to ensure that we have the right strategies in place for every child to progress and have fun at Twisters.
Andrea works across all three locations in the Inclusion Officer role, and can be contacted via email at inclusion@twistersgym.com.au.
Celebrating Northcote and Showgrounds
In April we celebrate the birthdays of two of our venues! Northcote turned 13 on 23rd April and Showgrounds 8 on 30th April. Thank you to all of our wonderful members who have been a part of Twisters Northcote and Twisters Showgrounds over the years!

Northcote parking reminder
Another month, another parking reminder! Our undercroft is a drop off/pick up zone only, if you intend to stay for longer than 5-minutes we kindly ask that you find a spot for your car in one of our parallel parks, or park on Beavers Road/surrounding streets. Daylight savings and warmer weather provides a great opportunity to park on surrounding streets and enjoy an afternoon walk down to Twisters! During our daytime Tiny Tornadoes classes, parents are welcome to park in the undercroft car spots. We really appreciate your cooperation.
ANZAC Day closure
All three of our locations will be closed on Anzac Day, Saturday 25th April.
Classes run as normal on Sunday.

Gymnast of the Month
Congratulations to our Gymnasts of the Month!

Northcote GoM | Isaac
Here is why Coach Hannah nominated Isaac…
I have nominated Isaac for gymnast of the month because of the energy, enthusiasm and love for gymnastics he shows me every week. He has improved so much this year so far, and that has come from his desire to learn each session, always coming in with a big smile on his face. He has been working super hard on his cartwheels and forward rolls this year, and it has been amazing watching him achieve his goals each week, learning more and more.
He truly encompasses the ‘Twister’s core value – fun and energy is contagious – by lifting everyone around him up and ALWAYS having a massive smile and the most fun. Well done, Isaac! We are all so proud of your progress so far this year.

Showgrounds GoM | Elena
Here is why Coach Ruby nominated Elena…
Elena has been an absolute joy to have in class, always coming with the largest smile on her face and the most joyful outfits! She embodies our core value “be curious and brave” as she is constantly open to trying new things while embracing all the challenges! She has been an absolute pleasure to have in class, and I cannot wait to see her skills continue to grow throughout the year!!! Go Elena!!!!

Torquay GoM | Stella
Here is why Coach Indi nominated Stella…
Stella is an incredibly deserving Gymnast of the Month. She consistently demonstrates dedication and perseverance, always seeking new challenges and striving to perfect her skills. Her positive attitude shines through in every class and inspires those around her. Stella truly embodies our core value of “Be Curious and Brave,” as she is always willing to try new things and take on challenges with confidence. She comes to class with focus and determination, showing a genuine passion for improvement. In addition, Stella is a great listener who takes on feedback thoughtfully, using it to grow and achieve her goals. Well done Stella, you deserve it!!
