🌟Meet Coach Rachel🌟
Rachel has been part of the Twisters family for many years, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our coaching team! She truly embodies so many of our core values, especially “Fun and Energy is Contagious!” Rachel brings such a kind, welcoming and positive presence to the gym and has a wonderful ability to make everyone around her smile.

Hi! I’m Rachel and I have been a part of Twisters since 2011, where I began as a gymnast at Santa Maria College in Northcote. I became absolutely obsessed with gymnastics as I got older and loved my twisters classes so much. I loved wearing leotards and scrunchies, and doing handstands and cartwheels everywhere I went. I was a part of the Gymstar competitive program and finished up as a gymnast at the end of 2021.
I began coaching that same year, and would work for two hours after school before having my own training.

I started off as a very nervous coach in training, and began taking my own classes in 2022. I coach in our tiny tornadoes, badge and stars, tricksters and futures league programs. Every class is something different! I love doing new drills and celebrating big achievements with my advanced groups, and celebrating the first forward roll and jump into the airbag in my littlest classes.
I am also a mentor coach and floor leader, and help our new coaches gain confidence and learn how to take a class by themselves. Coaching has made me feel more confident in myself and has grown my love of gymnastics.
If you see me around come and say hi!

Rachel

Northcote GoM | Astrid, Beatrix, Alisha, Hazel, Lotta, Clodagh, Lucy and Scarlett

Showgrounds GoM | Elke

Here is why Coach Phoebe nominated Elke…
I chose Elke as a gymnast of the month because i have been so impressed with her dedication this year and all of the progress that she has made! She is constantly demonstrating our core values of Fun and Energy is Contagious and to be Curious and Brave. She has shown a massive amount of growth not only skill wise, but also in learning how to deal with challenges whenever she is faced with them. She is always full of energy and comes into the gym wanting to have as much fun as possible with everyone around her. I’m super proud of her and everything she’s been achieving
