That’s a wrap on 2025!
From our Twisters family to yours, thank you for another incredible year! We have closed our doors for the Holiday season, all three venues will return for classes on Monday, 12th January. You can always find our important dates on our website, just head here.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to welcoming you back in 2026!
Back to Basics
At the beginning of each new year we wish to provide some time for students to get acquainted with their new classmates, coaches, and new schedule. You may feel your child isn’t being challenged during this first fortnight, however please keep in mind we pull our progressions right back to ensure students have time to settle into routine.
It is important that students have an appropriate amount of time to get their bodies used to moving for gymnastics again. If after this fortnight you have any questions, you’re most welcome to approach your coach pre/post class for some support, also a handy way to get to know your new coach!
🌟 Core Value Coach Awards 🌟
Congratulations to the following coaches for being the October winners of the Core Value Coach Awards!
NORTHCOTE – Coach Zara was awarded for the coach core value of “Curious and Brave”. Zara has made a huge impact and improved so much in the short amount of time she has been at Twisters. She is always eager to learn, and never hesitates to ask questions or check in if she’s unsure. Zara has been doing a wonderful job keeping on top of her education!
SHOWGROUNDS – Coach Rosanna was awarded coach core value “Dedication To Go Beyond”. Rosanna consistently demonstrates this core value through commitment and dedication at Twisters. She always goes the extra mile in every class, willingly steps in to help with additional tasks and is the first to offer support with covers when needed. Rosanna’s reliability is exceptional; she is a true role model for our coaches.
TORQUAY – Coach Lhonegan was awarded for the coach core value of “Fun And Energy is Contagious”. Lhone demonstrates this core value perfectly. She brings positive vibes and incredible energy to every one of her classes. Her enthusiasm sets the tone in the gym, and it shows. Her kids are always smiling, engaged, and genuinely enjoy their time in class. Her ability to create a fun, supportive environment makes a lasting impact on every gymnast she coaches.

Northcote GoM | Georgia
Here is why Finn Ivy nominated Georgia…
I nominated Georgia for gymnast of the month as she is consistently around to help her fellow gymnasts out, and always willing to try new things, displaying our core value of ‘make our mates better’. She always listens to everything that’s explained and is the first to step up to demonstrate or to help someone if they don’t know what they’re doing. Not only that but she does it with a smile and is always giggling at something. Well done Georgia!
Showgrounds GoM | Freya
Here is why Coach Natasha nominated Freya…
Freya has been pushing herself more and more in every class! She’s an absolute pleasure to coach and has really come out of her shell over the past few months. Her growing confidence and enthusiasm shine through each week, and it’s been wonderful to see how much her love for gymnastics has developed. Freya continues to challenge herself with every new skill and gives her best effort in everything she does. I can’t wait to see all the progress she makes and hear about her future achievements in gymnastics — she’s truly has been such a joy to coach.

Coach Nick nominated Arley for gymnast of the month because of her dedication to training. Arley rarely misses a training session, never complains about hard work and strives to apply feedback. These qualities resulted in a great comp season with placings on multiple apparatus, truly demonstrating dedication to go beyond. Additionally, Arley brings a fun and positive attitude to class and supports her teammates, always making her mates better. Keep up the great work Arley!
