In 2017 Twisters introduced a new and exciting program called the Badge & Stars program.
The Badge & Stars program provides students with rewards and incentives for achieving new skills and the program posters provide parents with a simple way to monitor their child’s progress.
There are 3 groups: Beginner, which consists of the aqua, purple and black colour levels. Intermediate, which consists of the bronze, bronze advanced and silver levels. Advanced, which consists of the silver advanced, gold and gold advanced levels. The full colour skills charts can be found on the parent noticeboard in the foyer.
Gymnasts will love receiving their posters and earning their stars. Parents can see how the program progressively teaches gymnastics skills, whilst teaching the children valuable goal setting skills. The Badge & Stars program provides recognition and reward for gymnast’s improvement and hard work.
Every gymnast will receive a Badge & Stars poster to take home for display. The poster lists the skills which your child will be developing in training. To ensure progress and success, the skills of each level have been broken down into achievable steps.
As each skill is displayed and achieved, during mid-year and end-of-year testing sessions, stars are awarded to be placed on the poster. Once all skills of each colour level have been mastered, the appropriate coloured badge will be awarded, and your child is ready to move to the next level.
Northcote testing for 2019 will take place from Monday, June 3rd to Sunday, June 16th (mid-year testing) and again Monday, November 25th to Sunday, December 8th (end-of-year testing).
