Northcote Carpark
Northcote families, you may have noticed some fresh paint on our parking spots!
We’ve been working hard over our short break to refresh our parking spaces with a new coat of paint. All 18 parking spaces have been freshly lined with purple, and with our logo placed nice and large within each spot. Not only making it clear to all of our wonderful families, but also to others using the parking spaces.
A friendly reminder to please respect our parking limits, and we kindly ask you to not stay any longer than you need and to avoid arriving too early to assist with the flow.
Marking Your Child Absent
School holidays are in full swing, making it the perfect time to use some of your make-up tokens. You can also help other families by marking your child absent from your class. You can do so by heading to the Parent Portal and logging in (you can enter as many absences as you need).
Once you’ve marked yourself absent, the office and other parents will recognise that they can pop into your child’s spot for the week to attend an additional class. Smooth sailing!
Are your billing details up to date?
A reminder to check that your billing details are up to date and correct. Billing details can be checked and updated via the Parent Portal at any time. Monthly Membership Direct Debits are processed on the 1st business day of each month, so please check your details prior to this date.
While you’re there, you can make sure that all other details are up to date!
Direct Debit Amounts
Fees are raised on your account on the 25th of each month. The amount may vary because it depends on how many classes your child will have within that month (for example, your child attends a Monday class. In September, they’ll have 4 sessions, therefore the charge will be your class fee multiplied by 4, $29 x 4 = $116). So if you’d like to know how much your card will be charged on the 1st, you can take a look between those dates!
Layers = warmth!
Please dress your child for the weather, our Torquay and Northcote facilities are not heated, but layers can be your best friend. The kids can wear them until they’re warm and then just take them off as needed!
Does your child have two coaches assigned to their class?
During your visit to Twisters you may notice some classes have 2 coaches, and others only 1. When you notice a class with 2 coaches, one is a Senior Coach and the other is a Coach In Training (CIT). Our CIT is being mentored by the Senior Coach to further their education prior to taking on their own classes. Mentor Coaches support the CITs growth by asking them to assist with running a zone, teaching them to spot, or asking them questions to test their knowledge.
Our Mentor Coaches have a tonne of experience and they graciously choose to take on a CIT as a way to pass on their wonderful skills and knowledge to the next generation of coaches!
Parent Surveys
We are getting some great responses to our surveys that are being sent out via email. If you haven’t received a survey yet, don’t worry! They’re only coming out a little at a time so that we can ensure we read through all of your feedback. When you do receive a survey, we ask that you take the 1 to 2 minutes to complete it, and please be open and honest with your feedback regarding our venues and our coaches. We really appreciate your responses to these surveys!
iClassPro App
We have a wonderful, easy to use app for parents! The iClass Pro app allows parents to book in make-up classes, mark their child absent, request to transfer their class and book into holiday programs. If you haven’t already, you can download the iClassPro App from your app store and get started right away!
📲 Make sure you search for exactly that – ‘the iClassPro app’.
📲 Then, and this is very important, ensure you put in the correct organisation name, which is ‘twistersgym’ – all lower case and no spaces. You’ll know you’re in the right place because the landing page is purple (if the landing page is red, you’re trying to get into the Canadian Twisters).
📲 Lastly, you just need to pop in your Parent Portal details and you’re set!
Child Safety Corner
Permission to Leave Without a Parent or Guardian
As part of our commitment to being a child safe organisation, Twisters requires a parent or guardian to collect their child from our foyers at the end of their class. If you wish to grant permission for your child to leave Twisters without being accompanied by their parent or guardian, please complete a permission to leave form (this form can be found at our front desks or can be requested via email on admin@twistersgym.com.au). Once filled out, simply return it to the front desk or via email, so that your child’s Coach or other Twisters staff member can get this set-up to allow this to occur moving forwards.

Gymnast of the Month
Congratulations to our June Gymnasts of the Month!
Northcote GoM | Nathanael
Coach Hannah nominated Nathanael, here is what she had to say…
There are many reasons why I have nominated Nathanael for Gymnast of the Month, some being the great bravery, focus and kindness he has shown this year. Nathanael comes to every class with a positive attitude, a smile on his face and ready to learn. Despite only starting this year, I have seen his confidence grow more and more each week in all his skills. Nathanael is not afraid to try new skills and is willing to take on a challenge, working tirelessly until he nails each skill, such as ninja rolls, vaults and pop-ons. He proves that hard work really does pay off and is well on his way to achieving his goal skills of somersault!! Nathanael is always very attentive and focused, with his listening ears always switched on, this allows him to understand engage with what to do on each activity and how to improve. He should be very proud of the progress he has made this year alone and I am beyond excited to watch him grow as a ninja and all the new skills he will achieve.
Showgrounds GoM | Cleo
Coach Caylie nominated Cleo, here is what she had to say…
I nominated Cleo because she is fearless and so excited about gymnastics every day she comes in. For the first few months of the year, Cleo was the only one in her class but she never failed to bring the energy. She tried any challenge I gave her and she has progressed very quickly. Now she has more friends in her class, she has emerged as a leader. She helps others when they don’t know what to do or where to go. Well done Cleo!
Torquay GoM | Harlow
Coach Celia nominated Harlow, here is what she had to say…
I think Harlow is well deserved of Gymnast of the Month, she is always bringing a great energy to the class, very chatty and kind to everyone. Harlow is also doing great with her skills and is always motivated to learn something new!
